De functie

The commercial division is experiencing substantial growth, and the organization is seeking a VP Marketing to elevate the entire marketing function to the next level. The marketing team currently consists of 2.5 FTE and several agencies. While the marketing department is not in its infancy, the rapid expansion demands a professional and progressive approach. You will collaborate closely with the CEO, the sales team, and the customer success team. As a VP Marketing, you will be responsible for all aspects of the Marketing Strategy and its operations. You will develop, execute, and report on a data-driven Marketing Strategy, generating new revenue across markets, geographies, and marketing channels. Effective communication is a key strength, regardless of the audience. You inspire, motivate, and challenge the status quo. Through creative and innovative initiatives, you outperform competitors with more substantial budgets. You can blend significant changes with small incremental improvements on a strategic, operational, creative, and people level.
What your first 180 days will look like:

  • Define, build, and execute the Marketing Strategy aligned with business objectives and growth ambitions.
  • Lead and expand the remarkable team, continuously improving their skills.
  • Ensure optimal distribution and enablement of marketing, product, and sales collateral.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams, reporting progress to the Management Team based on data-driven OKRs.
  • Implement and expand the analytical toolstack to enhance insights and conversion.
  • Elevate value propositions and messaging to the next level.
  • Grow the brand through all necessary (paid and unpaid) channels.
  • Uphold brand standards and ensure the proper use of the valuable brand.
  • Oversee and optimize all efforts and channels in the marketing mix, from paid and organic campaigns to social, PR, events, analyst relations, content, community, and partner marketing.
  • Collect, analyze, and distribute market- and competitor analysis and information.
  • Own the P&L and report on ROI.

  • Strong track record in B2B marketing roles, preferably in financial services companies or the tech (SaaS) industry.
  • Strong project management, multitasking, and decision-making skills.
  • Exceptional leadership and interpersonal skills, coaching the team, inspiring and motivating them daily.
  • Solid data analysis and reporting experience; your numbers are always accurate.
  • Outstanding strategic and entrepreneurial understanding.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, building trusted relationships across different levels and personalities.
  • A hands-on and non-hierarchical team player effective in managing up and down and relating well at all levels and cultures.
